Villa Punta Arena is a private residence set within the Puntarena development in Sabana Buey, on a 2,749 m² lot with 525 m² of built area.
The desert landscape shaped the project from its earliest stage — informing a vocabulary of contemporary lines that reads as inseparable from its terrain. The building was positioned at the highest point of the site to command unobstructed views of the bay and its horizon.
The program is organized into two volumes joined by a central axis of interior courtyards. These threshold spaces open through folding timber walls, dissolving the boundary between inside and out and drawing the landscape — the sparse local vegetation, the raw topography — into the interior life of the house. Architecture and place become continuous.
Passive solar strategies underpin the environmental approach, yielding a climate-adapted architecture in which nearly every space remains open to the sea breeze and the view.
